Dedicated Portfolio View
InvMon features a dedicated view for broker accounts to facilitate a rational, goal oriented approach to portfolio management.
Every broker account that is added to the Accounts & Balances panel adds a new portfolio management entry to the top navigation menu. Select it and enter a specialized and customizable view layout to track and manage the account’s watchlist entries and positions.

Structured Portfolios
Keep it simple and view a broker account as one portfolio, or organize your holdings in InvMon with more structure by organizing your positions and watchlist entries across multiple portfolio groups and sub-portfolios.
Take advantage of InvMon’s live data break-down features and view charts and performance sheets on any level – on single positions or gradually consolidated up to the portfolio, the portfolio group, the account and across accounts.
2-Level Watchlists
InvMon offers distinct watchlists on the level of the portfolio and portfolio group. But not only that: you can prioritize your watchlist into “candidates” and “others”.
Candidate entries are simply watchlist entries of special interest. The use of this distinction is of course optional.
In the screenshot to the right, we see positions, candidates and watchlist entries. The position and size of these panels is adjustable.

Simulation Portfolios
With InvMon you can easily compare scenarios. Consider a broker account where you follow the three portfolio principle: one domestic, one international and one fixed income portfolio.
With InvMon you can easily set this up as a portfolio group. And then set up a portfolio group with the same structure next to it–but in simulation mode, and compare your actual performance with the simulated one (that you may be managing more or less aggressively).
Set Hedging Targets
You can set a hedging target as a percentage of a portfolio’s target exposure. You define the semantics. To give you an idea, three examples: A portfolio…
- …with 6 long tech positions: 0% hedged.
- …with 3 long tech positions and 3 short tech positions: 50% hedged.
- …containing only put options: 100% hedge value.
Compare these hedge values (target vs actual) and see how they contribute up to the portfolio group and account level.

Custom Instruments
InvMon has access to quotes of close to 200,000 stocks and ETFs, as well as hundreds of crypto currencies. But perhaps a particular holding of yours is not among them. No problem!
Track such positions using InvMon’s Custom Instrument type. Import trade executions from a CSV file or enter them manually. And simply enter price data points, present or past, at your discretion.
Interactive Brokers® Connectivity
InvMon can connect to your existing Interactive Brokers® account via a locally running IB Trader Workstation (TWS) and synchronize data in real-time.
This includes a powerful portfolio import and synchronization feature as well as the ability to submit orders directly out of InvMon and receive associated trade execution notifications.
Note: we’re not affiliated with Interactive Brokers®. If you’d like to have us working on an integration with another broker, let us know on our feature board.

Tracking Portfolios
Track any portfolio from any broker in InvMon using all of InvMon’s portfolio management features. Get stock, crypto and currency quotes for your holdings via a connected Interactive Brokers® account (if available) or via InvMon’s built-in market data feed.
Built-In Quotes & Charts Data Feed
InvMon comes with a built-in, ready to use data feed for quotes and charts covering over 160,000 stocks and ETFs, 350+ crypto currency rates and 168 world currency rates.
This service comes pre-configured and ready to use. If you do have an Interactive Brokers® account, you can choose between market data from either the IB account or the built-in feed.
The built-in data feed is delayed. The timeliness of IB data depends on your IB market data subscriptions.
See our FAQ page for more information.

Intuitive Support for Short Positions
InvMon’s exposure and profit-and-loss charts easily handle short positions side by side a portfolio’s long positions. Spot your short positions in charts based on color or position (customizable ordering).
Two Distinct Portfolio Weighting Models
Investment targets are classically expressed using percentages. InvMon supports this approach but also offers an alternative relative weighting model using a simple small/medium/large notation (with an optional sub-level for improved control where needed).
The advantage of this? An even easier way to define targets and manage and rebalance your portfolios.
The weighting model is set on the portfolio group and can be changed at any time.

Continuous Actual vs. Target Comparisons
Compare your current vs. target exposure at one glance thanks to a special chart type that shows both values in one chart.
Moreover, InvMon continuously checks for differences and displays rebalancing orders to help you spot the need for action. With a connected Interactive Brokers® account you can even submit these orders with just a few of clicks.
Introducing: Delta Orders
InvMon lets you take control by setting clear investment targets for your positions and portfolio exposure. While it’s not an algorithmic trading system that generates its own recommendations, it excels at tracking your current holdings and comparing them against your defined targets.
When the difference between an actual position and your desired target exceeds a limit you’ve defined, a rebalancing order called Delta Order is displayed, allowing you to easily rebalance positions and get back on target. If needed, you can also dismiss a delta order, and as a consequence have InvMon re-adjust your target accordingly, with just a click.
